When The Only Sons Weren’t The Only Sons

23 March 2010 in CD's I am Diggin' Right Now, Music, Random, blah blah blah

I’ll have some pics and thoughts from my SXSW trip for you guys tomorrow, but before then I just thought I’d share a little somethin’ somethin’ (a very random somethin’, at that).

I have mentioned my appreciation for the latest The Only Sons album, Steel Hearts, a time or two in the past, but I haven’t said much about the album that came out before that one. Actually, the album came out before these Tennessee boys were even called The Only Sons.

In 2008, The Only Sons were known as Ribbonpigeon, and their album, Young Lungs, featured the same excellent blend of country, rock, wit and spit. I encourage those of you who have recently been turned onto The Only Sons to make a point to check out Young Lungs.
