Texas Week Pics: Slobberbone, Telegraph Canyon, Scott Biram

14 January 2010 in Concerts, Events, Local Music (D/FW), Music, Random, Texas Music, blah blah blah, live gigs

A great shot of Slobberbone, courtesy of Bill Ellison from the Granada Theater in Dallas...

A couple of weeks ago, I caught 3 fantastic Texas-based acts at the Granada Theater. Slobberbone (Denton), Scott H. Biram (Austin) and my 2009 Band of the Year (not an official award) Telegraph Canyon from Ft. Worth conducted a serious night of music. The Granada’s own Bill Ellison was there and took some pics, enjoy.

A healthy-sized crowd take in the glory of Slobberbone on Dec 30th, 2009.

Brent Best makin' it happen...

General Slobberbone kick-assery

Biram didint need a full band to fill the stage. He made it his woman.

This was my third Telegraph Canyon show in just over 2 months. Each time they have absolutely stunned me and each time they have turned a room full of uninterested early-arrivers into passionate believers.

While Telegrpah Canyon employs a wide array of instrumentation, their most valuable instrument might be Chris Johnson's intensity.
