Since listening to Farm over and over recently, I have been on a serious Dinosaur Jr. kick. I have also been digging into their back catalog. Unlike some of the die-hard fans from the early nineties, I really did – and still do – enjoy their commercially successful 1994 album, Without A Sound. For my money, “Feel The Pain” is possibly the quintessential rock song from the decade (sorry, obvious teen-spirit backers).
J, Lou and Murph have turned their reunion into a continuation of their earlier greatness, and not just an old-timer’s victory lap/cash grab. Below are some videos that I have been using to make myself not feel so bad for missing these guys when they passed through Dallas recently…

Man I have just never been able to get into D. Jr. I have tried but I just cant get into a. the lead singers voice or b. his guitar work.
I want to like them since Lou Barlow’s work in The Folk Implosion is some of my favorite music of all time. One Part Lullaby is 1 of my consistent top 20 albums when listing albums.
man oh man, the guitar work and is what pulls me into them everytime…Lou Barlow’s solo stuff from recent times is quality also…
How I didn’t own every one of their albums is beyond me…
His guitar work is AWESOME, but then again I’ve always been a Thurston Moore kinda guy.
