I have really been digging the soon to be released (only on vinyl via Sophomore Lounge, home of previous Gobb Knob faves, Slithering Beast and Only Sons) new LP from State Champion (Official / Myspace), Stale Champagne. It’s raw energy and sparse production reminds me of a slightly more rocking War Elephant-era Deer Tick. There is some twang, but there’s lot of unadulterated garage rockin’ too. My pleasure. I really do view my role as a blogger (other than satisfying my selfish need to be heard) as a guy who gets info out to the people that care enough about music to read blogs regularly…I love giving credit where credit is due, especially when I agree with the other blogger
