Fantastic albums from 2009, like this one from Curtis Harvey, made the task of choosing only the 25 best tougher than I preferred.
As I hinted at yesterday, I really struggled with my Top 25 for 2009. I initially welcomed the challenge of contributing lists to both Twangville and The Bird List, but I was never comfortable with leaving out as many good discs as I did. Well, guess what? I’m not a proper journalist with strict rules and guidelines, I’m a dude with a blog. Given that pair of circumstances, I would like to share with you a few more discs that were stellar, and at various points of the year were in my projected Top 25, but just missed the cut, for whatever reason (in no particular order this time)…
Jon Snodgrass - Visitor’s Band
A.A. Bondy - When the Devil’s Loose
Owen Temple - Dollars and Dimes
Alberta Cross - Broken Side of Time
Drew Kennedy - An Audio Guide To Cross Country Travel
Jackson Taylor & The Sinners - Aces & Eights
Nirvana – Live at Reading 1992
