School of Seven Bells – “Iamundernodisguise”
12 October 2009 in Music, Random, blah blah blah
Indie blog darlings, School of Seven Bells (Official / Myspace) are releasing a deluxe version of their critically hailed debut album, Alpinisms (Vagrant), this week. It is likely you have seen something about this on one blog or another, so I wont assume that I am breaking some crazy huge news to you. that said, I really like what I have heard from them, even if it has taken me a few listens to get to this point.
One of the “deluxe” aspects of this coming collection is that there will be some alternate versions of certain tracks added on. One such additional bonus alternate track is “Iamundernodisguise”. This version possesses an almost chant-like, tribal feel and succeeds in its “alternate intention” as it does feel different than the original album version, at least in the songs more sparse overall arrangement.
P.S. – Yet another big shout out to my boy, Lance, from Bona Fide Darling. He has championed these guys for some time, and is the one that turned me on the this band.
