It has been quite a while since I veered off of the musical trail here on The Gobblers Knob. That said, I listened to something recently that I really enjoyed and when I was given the chance to share much of it with all of you, I wasn’t about to pass that up.
Larry the Cable Guy’s new album, Tailgate Party (Jack Records / Warner Bros) is just plain funny. I am sure there are a few hipster eyes rollin’ right now, so be it. I’m not going to argue with anyone who says that he “isn’t their type”, as his southern schtick isnt for everyone. Truth be told, I am a late arrival to LTCG’s party. He’s been a huge name for years, but I hadn’t bothered to pay much attention until a Comedy Central special a couple of years back showed me how funny the guy really is. Below are several of the tracks from his politically incorrect new disc that also digs into some socio-political territory as well. It was recorded in front of 50,000 people and will be shown on Comedy Central sometime in 2010, but you can hear my favorite tracks here first…

I know, I know. I thought I might take a hit on this, but hey, I think he’s funny, cant help it. I dont know if he and i see eye to eye politically all the time, but that is probably thinking about it too much if I worried about that…
