New Blogs…

7 July 2009 in Blogroll, Interviews, Music, Random, blah blah blah

Well, they aren’t “new” per se, but they are relatively new to my world and I wanted to make sure that you know about them as well. I’ve added them to my blogroll over the last week or so. You’ll find a mix of indie, roots, country and rock…all the things I attempt to cover and discuss here to the best of my ability. Below is a rundown of some recent items of note from each of the new members of my distinguished blogroll.

  • The Captains Dead Blog waxed philosophical on the legendary status of Liz Phair’s seminal work…and posted some live mp3′s as well.

  • High Noon Saloon also loved the new Charlie Robison disc. If you look on the right side of the site, you’ll see many excellent album streams, including the new discs by Ryan Bingham, Levon Helm and Jim Bryson.

  • Music Fog has a laid back interview with Paul Thorn. This guy may have the coolest voice in the world, whether he is singing or talking!

  • My Aimz Is True runs down the Top albums of the year, so far. Pretty solid list that also includes the albums that many of us are looking forward to.

  • Many blogs posted the new Avett Brothers single recently, but This Mornin’ I Am Born Again went and posted a bunch of other good stuff from one of my absolute favorite bands.

  1. I Am Fuel, You Are Friends is a daily read for me. Heather is such a great writer and she’s a PJ fanatic, like myself. She has pretty good taste in music too.

Say, I see that there is a new “red dirt” venue coming to Lower Greenville. Is that going to effect the bookings at Granada?
