I know, I know. I have rambled on about the many great line-ups at The Best Live Venue in town a whole bunch, haven’t I? Well, there is one coming up soon that is especially intriguing. The venerable Texas legend, Ray Wylie Hubbard is headlining a show that will also feature a younger version of himself in Dustin Welch, who displays much of the talent for goth-western tales on his debut disc, Whiskey Priest, that the headliner has made a career out of. The real gem here is Elizabeth Cook. TheĀ gorgeous country siren from Nashville doesn’t seem to make it to these parts often and I would imagine that people will flock to this show for her as much as they will Hubbard, who never has a problem getting the crowds to show up.
Head over to The Granada’s website to get tix to this show!

you going? Get there early enough to catch Cook, she’s amazing!
we’ll see. Slobberbone and macon Greyson are the night before at the same venue, so we’ll see if I am in any shape to get back out…
Don’t forget Leon Russell on Sunday Aug 23! Also Mike McClure on Aug 26
