I don’t typically talk too much about albums that are still over a month away from being released, but I just had to let you guys know about a new disc coming out that I cant stop listening to. The upcoming disc from California’s Gina Villalobos is all kinds of awesome. It wont be out until July, so I wont get too wordy right now. I will say that if you dig Kathleen Edwards (like I most definitely do), you are almost certainly going to dig this record. To be honest, that’s a pretty easy/lazy comparison, but I see tons of similarities between Villalobos’ Days on Their Side disc and Edwards’ Failer disc from a few years ago. Heck, many of you may already be familiar with her, as sadly, I wasn’t.
