Jack White isn't the only Raconteur up to something new...
Here are a few things I have caught recently that I want to make sure you catch as well:
- Raconteurs virtuoso (that isn’t jack White), Brendan Benson has a new solo-album coming out. Download this free and legal mp3 of “Feel Like Taking You Home”
- Justin Frazell and the good folks at Texas Red Dirt Roads have been hanging with a ton of cool folks since getting started a couple of months back.
- Staying in Texas, Brad, Tank and the rest of the Galleywinter gang have sent word about their annual Greenfest. This year, it’s in Austin and will be on the weekend of July 25th. Performances from Modern Day Drifters, Adam Hood, Drew Kennedy and Rodney Hayden are merely part of the reason you should attend.
- This isn’t necessarily news, but have you listened to the latest CD from Nakia? You should. I checked out his Water to Wine and it’s an excellent slice of latter day soul with notes of Elton John, Motown and Stevie Ray Vaughan all rolled together..nice. Stream the entire album for free on his facebook page.
