I know it’s been a few days since my last post, but I am back and will have good stuff for y’all more regularly…promise.
I like Something in the Wheel as much as they like this cat...
Something in the Wheel is another great example of a Texas-based roots group that would never be considered “Texas Country” or “Red Dirt”. The obvious comparisons here are to The Avett Brothers, Graham Lindsey and even fellow Dallasites, The O’s. Real, raw and completely void of hipster doofusism (I know, but I think you get my point), Mimo Morreale and Daniel Pease have no problem leaving things well-enough alone in order for their sparsely produced songs to be as honest as possible, with minimal frills attached. A full-length album is on the way, and you would be well advised to make sure and add a copy to your library.
