Concert Announcement: Great American Taxi/Cadillac Sky/Charlie Shafter – Granada Theater Dallas, TX
16 April 2009 in Concerts, Events, Local Music (D/FW), Music, Random, Texas Music, blah blah blah, live gigs
I cant get enough of the gigs lined up at the venerable Granada Theater in Dallas. A couple of weeks ago, I was telling you about the Ryan Bingham show lined up there for April 26th, but this weekend there is a kick-butt show scheduled that should please any fan of Roots-Rockin’.
A fine triple bill headlined by Great American Taxi (featuring Vince from Leftover Salmon) supported by Cadillac Sky (who I saw almost steal the show from David Grisman a couple of years ago at the same venue), and a recent favorite of mine, Charlie Shafter & The Gnomes makes quite the fine night for any who are so inclined. Each band represents a different member of the Americana family of sounds, and that is what I dig about this line-up. Shafter will rock at the start, Cadillac Sky will pick and grin with serious Bluegrass flavor and Great American Taxi will wrap it all up with a little of both, actually.
Get ‘yer tix quick, go to The Granada’s wesbsite for all ticket info, people!
