In Back of the Black Cab…

26 March 2009 in Music, Random, Video, You Tube, blah blah blah

I was catching up on some stuff from SXSW that I missed (since I didnt go and all), and I came across yet another mention of The Black Cab Sessions.  I have seen mention of this site before and have always forgotten to click on over to it, so I proceeded to do so this time.  Very cool stuff.  Basically, tons of indie-alt-neo folkie-whatever-else types of artists pile into the back of this cab and play a song or two. Simple, but unique and better than most random “webisodes” you may stumble upon.

Click on the artist name for their specific Black Cab Sessions video:

Phosphorescent / Ryan Adams /St. Vincent (one of the very few with North Texas ties that I found) / My Morning Jacket / The Felice Brothers / Micah P. Henson / Langhorne Slim (one of my ACL 2008 favorites).
