Here are some vids I have been digging for one reason or another recently:

This is the trailer for The Darjeeling Limited film.  It’s not new, but I really dig the way that director Wes Anderson uses music in his films.  The selection of this Kinks song was an inspired choice, in my opinion.

While this is my least favorite song from Zac Brown Band’s album, The Foundation, it has hit #1 on the Country Charts.  I may not adore the song, but I love the video.  It’s real.  I dig the family reunion vibe to it, especially the crazy uncle in the overalls with no shirt.

I have failed to really get into The Gourds until recently.  Their blend of Country, Bluegrass, Rock and even Funk is exciting and still refreshingly different from what is typically called “Alt-Country”.  Like the Zac Brown video, I dig the casual, “home movie-style” of the video.

  1. The video definitely improves the listenability of the song……however, the radio is on to something with these force fed hits, I find this song in my head quite a bit and I can’t seem to shake it!!!

  3. i am with you. having said that, i really dig the album as a whole. His version of Jolene, and “Toes” are pretty good little ditties…
