I am way behind on this Two Cow Garage news, and if it wasn’t for this post from the Dallas Observer’s Music blog, I don’t know when I would’ve received this most welcome of news. After digging around on the web, I see that even that post was behind as Hear Ya was on top of this a couple of weeks ago. I have been rocking Two Cow Garage’s, Please Turn the Gas Back On album recently and find it to be exactly what I want to hear from an “Alt-Country” record. Gritty vocals, chugging bass, crunchy guitars are all present and accounted for here with these Ohio natives. As one might imagine with me, there is a solid Texas connection here, as my man-crush, Brent Best (more on him later) has done some producing and playing with these guys, so there ya go.

I saw that poster on your site, thats a pretty sweet b-day party. they are coming to denton in november, but its on the same night as kathleen edwards and john doe in dallas, so i am torn.
