Entering the Blogosphere
26 May 2008 in Music, Random, blah blah blahI haven’t done one of these in a long time. I figure that if you are reading this, you are likely hittin’ up some of the blogs on my blogroll and many others, most likely. But just in case you have been a bit busy, or haven’t noticed that I have some new blogs added, here is what is going on…
- My Twin brother has started his own blog, but it’s not about music…it’s about another art-form…the BURGER. Start with his review of a hidden Texas treasure…..
- Chip over at Amber Waves of Twang (and of Twangville fame) has a feature on the current Texas band that is generating the most “buzz”.
- Speaking of Twangville, there is a great interview with one of my favorite folkies, Josh Ritter. I saw him in concert 4 years ago and still remember it as one of the great nights of music I have ever had!
- Nine Bullets features a band that I am listening to in my car right now. I share some of the feelings that are expressed here, but am still trying to wrap my head around the variety in this disc.
- Lonesome Music posted some thoughts and audio on The Silver Jews (scroll down to the May 9th entry). Be sure and listen to the song, it’s a really good one.
- I went back a bit to find this Captain Obvious entry dealing with the upcoming release from one of, if the THE most beloved band here in North Texas. I am very pumped about this, as the project and its scope is as ambitious as the writing of lead man, Will Johnson.
