Who’s Next?? Ryan Bingham…

Okay, I am not typically the guy that goes around and claims to have known about an artist before he hits it big or brags about how I may have been way ahead of the curve on a certain breakthrough artist or band.  Well, I will go ahead and kinda sorta do this now.  Ryan Bingham has become quite the phenomenon and national darling.  I knew he would, and I called it months ago, before the release of his major-label debut, Mescalito.  I wanna verify here that I am not claiming to have been the first to mention Bingham in the blogosphere or the first to gush over him in a chat room or even the first to get him to sign my boob at a show where there were likely 10 people in the audience (that never actually happened, but I am keeping one open for you though, Ryan.  I know that’s weird since I’m a dude, but whatever).  Even though I may not have been the first to utter his name, I was WAY ahead of the current crop of sites, magazines and bloggers that now call Bingham the next best thing or Mescalito the top album of the last year.  Well, Yahoo has finally gotten on-board the train and have decided that he is what’s NEXT.

Whatever, I need to move on.  The fact is, I have babbled about plenty of folks that I was likely WAY behind on as far as joining his/her bandwagon.  I am glad that Bingham is getting this pub.  Hopefully the attention will help this cowboy be more than just a random Texas guy.
