Is It Friday Yet????
8 June 2007 in live gigsAnother summmer weekend in Tejas, another solid weekend of local and regional music. Starting tonight (Thurs), Mo Robson is in Ft. Worth playing at the Flying Saucer. Tommorrow night offers up a strong candidate for a Texas Musical Mt. Rushmore, Dale “The Real Freakin’ Deal” Watson at Hank’s Grill in McKinney. Saturday provides multiple opportunities to get out and handle up on yo’ bidness. Gurf Morlix is at Allgood Cafe, The Summer Showdown (Hayes Carll, Mickey & Motorcars, Bleu Edmonson, Bois D’Arcs) in Denton, and also in Denton (Non Country Band Alert & Not From Texas Alert!!!), THE HOLD STEADY!!!!! They are playing at Hailey’s. They’ll rock, they’ll roll, they’ll soothe your ever-lovin’ soul. Also, Travis Mitchell Band celebrates the release of their new CD at Adairs. Shiner Sunday at L&W Plano is solid with Jesse Dayton and Johnny Bush playing together (usually one or the other would be playing, but it’s one bill). Well, if this isn’t enough to keep you occupied, please consult my friend Cindy, and if she doesnt have something listed that tickles that spot (yes, that spot), check out this site. Have fun, be safe (those really don’t go together too well, so screw it)…..
