Each day new readers and web-surfers stumble upon the ol’ Knob. I thought it would be benevolent of me as keeper of the Knob to post some questions that my newest of admirers have sent me, below are a few of my favorites (disclaimer: some of these might not be actual questions from actual readers).
Q: You seem to be an amazing person. With such astonishing glutes, dimples, and an immaculate head of hair, why hide behind a computer or blog?
A: Thank you, and yes my glutes are like fine, carved, Italian Marble. I hide behind the computer because I feel in this modern and technological society, real and meaningful change in our world can and will only come about via blogs about Texas/Americana/Country Music. Q: Why is your blog named “The Gobblers Knob.Com”?
A: I’ll answer your question with a question. Why is the University of Texas El Paso called UTEP? Exactly!!
Q: You have a “Contact the Knob” page, where your email address is listed. Are you looking to hook up?
A: Only if your Mom is available and she has cash, if so, then YES!!!
Q: I have started a band and we play a mix of Country, Folk, and Blues. How do I get you to promote my gigs?
A: Call yourself a Polka Band, send me a 6 pack and some Ho-Ho’s and we are all set!
Q: You keep calling my wife, please stop! We are really trying to make this work this time and you keep calling my cell phone, thinking it’s my wife’s phone and asking me to “cough once if your husband is in the room”. Please, I beg of you leave us alone.
