Colombia River, Take My Mind…uh, its just not the same

So, did ya hear the joke about Willie taking his annual 4th of July Picnic somewhere else?  You may think that would be a notion too cruel to even joke about, but guess what?  No stinkin’ joke!  Willie will, in fact, be taking his legendary summer family shin-dig north of the border, well,  north of the Red River, thus making one of the coolest things about hot, Texas summers our states number 1 export (if sending something from one state to another is exporting, sorry, its hard for me to be geographical at a time like this).  Ultimately, I don’t mean to deprive our fellow, Willie lovin’ countrymen, and shoot, the amazing line-up looks to make it a kick-butt one day festival for Alt-Country Tree Huggers that are high on espresso and saltwater air (again, the Colombia may not be all that salty, but me and geography aren’t vibin’ right now).  Well, lets put away our sunblock, beer helmets, Leon Russell tank tops, and way-too-small-swim-trunks-that-we wear-as-regular-shorts for hopefully just one year.  Besides, there will be tons of free shows on the fourth that can help mask the wound.  For cryin’ out loud, last year, Reckless Kelly played in a mall parking lot in Lewisville!!!
