The newer"Texas Country" artists have Pat Green and Jack Ingram to thank for the door even being open for them as Robert Earl and others opened it for them. Nashville shouldn't be the enemy, it's apples and oranges to Texas. The enemy should be The Man, Posers, O'Douls drinkers and Urban Cowboys and the lyrics need to reflect the greatness of the region and its people and ways. These late comers to the scene need to bring their own voice to it not just retread from those who did it better and before them.
